Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop Expanding To TV And Beyond

Get ready, folks—Goop is coming to a screen near you! That’s right, Gwyneth Paltrow hinted that her $250 million wellness and lifestyle empire, Goop, is diving headfirst into the world of television. While Gwyneth didn’t spill all the details during a Wall Street Journal Magazine panel on November 13, insiders claim there’s definitely a TV project in the works. Sounds like big things are on the horizon for Goop, doesn’t it?

Goop Grows Globally

At the WSJ’s D.Live tech conference, Gwyneth also announced that Goop, the brand she founded over a decade ago, is expanding into the Australian market, according to Page Six. It’s clear that Goop is thriving, especially since the star of The Avengers recently launched its first international pop-up shop in London, marking an exciting step in the brand’s European expansion. With moves like these, it’s no surprise Goop continues to gain momentum worldwide.

    Gwyneth's Hollywood Detour

This thrilling news comes just months after Gwyneth, now 46, admitted to The New York Times that she’s ready to move on from the often "frustrating" Hollywood lifestyle. While the eight-time author isn’t completely retiring from acting, it’s clear she’s more focused on the success of Goop. For Gwyneth, it seems like the business world offers more creative freedom and agency than the acting industry ever could.

“I really loved acting,” Gwyneth reminisced. “But at a certain point, it started to feel limiting in a way—not having true control, being dependent on others to give you a job, or to create something, or to put something into the world. It was frustrating.” It’s easy to understand why she’d want to shift gears and take the reins of her own career in a different direction.

    A New Chapter for Gwyneth

It’s no secret that Gwyneth has been leaning into her role as a businesswoman, especially since she mentioned in June 2017 that her acting career might be slowing down. “I’m not entirely sure how I’ll feel about acting going forward. I’m doing just a little bit here and there when I have the time, but I absolutely adore running my business,” Gwyneth told Extra. “My life has been heavily focused on my business, and it has to be right now with everything we have going on. We’re growing so rapidly, and it’s such an exhilarating time to be doing what I’m doing.”

If Gwyneth officially steps back from Hollywood, fans can still tune in to see her on the Goop TV project. Plus, taking a break from the chaotic schedules and constant travel would give her more time to spend with her husband, Brad Falchuk, and her two kids, Apple and Miles. Sounds like a win-win situation, doesn’t it?
