Hey there! Daphne Oz is shining brightly as she embraces motherhood and her post-baby body journey. Just eight months after welcoming her third child, daughter Domenica, this former "The Chew" host posted an inspiring video on Instagram. In it, she proudly shows off her postpartum progress and encourages fellow moms to join her on this fitness adventure.
Now listen up, because Daphne's message is powerful. In her caption, she talks about the personal fitness journeys many moms are on. Whether it's losing weight, gaining weight, strengthening your core, or even rebuilding that pelvic floor, she gets it. She knows the struggle of finding confidence in your skin after everything life throws your way. Daphne wants you to know you're not alone, and that there's strength within you that you might not even realize yet.

View this post on InstagramONE DAY AT A TIME. So this is me, 8 months postpartum with Nica (pic of her coming next!!). I hear from so many of you about the fitness journeys you are on: to lose weight, to gain weight, to get your core back (or your pelvic floor), to feel confident in your skin after going through anything and everything that falls in your lap, gets in your way, makes you work harder than you ever thought possible and prove to yourself that there are depths and strength here we can’t even comprehend. So many of you ask me for updates on my own journey, and I love that we can help each other along and that seeing what my reality looks like might give some of you the encouragement/tools you need to harness your own, so I thought we could do something new. Once a week, I’ll share what we can call a MENTAL WEIGH IN (MWI) – I’m not going by numbers on the scale because I think it can do more harm than good to fixate on watching that number move rather than checking in with yourself, your body, your mind – and yes, your clothes. Each week, I’ll share something that was a lightbulb moment for me – maybe it’s a healthy recipe I’m loving, or a particular workout, or a mantra, or a setback. And I’ll show you what’s happening on my end, because I truly hate the idea that we are supposed to go hide in our cocoons until we are “back” or have reached every last goal – keep living your life! You deserve that! Allow the process to take its time. Sending lots of love your way. Chime in below if you’ll be following along 💋
Daphne’s Journey: A Weekly Mental Weigh-In
Daphne went on to explain her plan to keep her followers updated on her journey. "So many of you ask me for updates on my own journey, and I love that we can help each other along," she said. "Seeing what my reality looks like might give some of you the encouragement and tools you need to harness your own. So, I thought we could do something new." She's introducing what she calls a "Mental Weigh-In" (MWI), and no, it's not about the numbers on the scale. Instead, it's about checking in with yourself, your body, and your mind. Your clothes are part of the equation too, not just the scale.
Each week, Daphne plans to share lightbulb moments from her journey. These could be anything from a healthy recipe she's loving, a particular workout, a mantra that's resonating with her, or even a setback. She emphasizes that she hates the idea of hiding away until you're "back" or have reached every last goal. Her advice? Keep living your life! You deserve it. Allow the process to take its time, and remember, you're on a journey, not a race.

Real Talk: Daphne’s Seven-Week Postpartum Update
Let’s rewind a bit to January, just seven weeks after Daphne welcomed baby Nica. She was already sharing her "real" post-baby body on Instagram, and she didn't shy away from the truth. "Seven weeks postpartum, still looking three months pregnant," she captioned a candid photo of herself in black lingerie in her bathroom. But here's the thing: Daphne isn't about the bounce-back. She's all about moving forward and embracing every step of this journey.
She gets that every day brings its own set of challenges and triumphs. Some days are filled with splendor, while others might leave you scratching your head. She wants new moms especially to hear this. We see so much of the glossy side of motherhood, but not enough of the real, three-dimensional life that’s always a little complicated—and better for it. Your experience will be unique to you, and that's a beautiful thing. Prepare to be amazed by some things and maybe horrified by others. Motherhood is as complex and wonderful as the woman experiencing it.
Support and Encouragement from Fans
After Daphne posted that candid pic, her fans were thrilled. They appreciated her honesty and openness. "Thank you for being real and posting this. You look amazing!" one person commented. Another chimed in, "Thank you for sharing and being so honest. We need more of this beauty in the world." Daphne's authenticity is resonating with moms everywhere, and she's creating a community of support and encouragement.
