Hold on to your hats, folks! Sherri Shepherd didn’t hold back when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Sunday, July 22. The former co-host of The View shared her candid thoughts about Meghan McCain, who she worked alongside during her time on the show from 2007 to 2014. Sherri knows the ins and outs of that roundtable, and she had plenty to say about Meghan’s tenure.
Sherri expressed her belief that Meghan needs to relax a little and stop carrying the entire Republican world on her shoulders. "She just has to evolve. She has to get comfortable sitting there at that table," Sherri explained. "Meghan can't let the weight of the entire political party rest on her. That's a lot of pressure, and it shows in her demeanor. It makes her tense and stressed out. She doesn’t have to be the voice of the entire Republican Party. She should lighten up a bit and focus on being her authentic self," Sherri advised. It seems like some sage advice from someone who's been there.
Sara Haines Bids Farewell to 'The View'
Just one day after Sherri's comments, another big change hit The View. Co-host Sara Haines announced her departure from the show to join Good Morning America alongside Michael Strahan on ABC. This news came as a shock to many fans, but Sara couldn’t hide her excitement about the new opportunity. "Ahhhhhhhh!! Not even sure I can find the words to adequately express how excited I am to sit next to @MichaelStrahan as we embark on this new journey at @GMA #GMADay… it is (and has been) a dream of mine for a LONG time," she wrote in her announcement.

However, Sara also acknowledged the bittersweet nature of her decision. "It’s bittersweet though as I leave @TheViewABC, a place I have called home for the past couple of years. A huge thank you to all the viewers and fans who have followed me along the way. I LOVE my View family, but don’t worry, my brand new view is literally down the street," Sara reassured her fans. It’s clear that Sara cherishes her time on The View, but she’s ready for the next chapter in her career.

What’s Next for 'The View'?
With Sara’s departure, the remaining co-hosts—Meghan McCain, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, and Whoopi Goldberg—will have to step up and fill the void she leaves behind. Fans are already speculating about who might join the show to keep the conversation lively. Could this be the moment for Sherri Shepherd to return to the table? After all, she knows the show inside and out, and her no-holds-barred approach might be just what the show needs right now.
