It's been half a decade since Giuliana Rancic welcomed her little miracle, Edward Duke Rancic, into this world, but the joy of that day still lingers fresh in her heart. "It felt like my heart was going to burst with so much happiness and love," she confided to Closer Weekly. "I held him tightly and thought to myself, 'Savor this moment. Never forget this incredible moment. God is good.'" Those words carry so much weight, especially when you consider the journey she's been on.
Just about a year before Edward's arrival, Giuliana faced one of the toughest battles of her life—being diagnosed with breast cancer. But as she reflects on her journey, she realizes how much that experience shaped her perspective. "It taught me that even when you're in the darkest moment, the sun will rise again," she said. Now, not only is Giuliana thriving and healthy, but she's also become a powerful voice for Genentech's Not One Type cancer awareness campaign. Her family, including her supportive husband and son, stands by her side every step of the way.

Bill Rancic Opens Up About Family Values
When Closer Weekly sat down with Giuliana's husband, Bill Rancic, he couldn't help but gush about how much his family means to him. "We have one golden rule, and that's family first," Bill revealed. "We don't compromise on that, and we don't break the rule. Family always comes first. I always say that kids still love T-I-M-E. That's what we really believe in, and Duke gets a lot of our time. We spend a lot with him, and that's certainly priority number one." It's clear that for the Rancics, family isn't just a priority—it's the foundation of everything they do.
Striking a Balance Between Work and Family
As a mom of one, Giuliana knows firsthand the importance of balancing her professional life with her role as a mother. She's mastered the art of giving her all to both aspects of her life. "When I'm with my son, I don't even glance at my phone. I'm fully engaged. I give 100 percent to family when I'm with my family, but when I'm at work, I give 100 percent to work," she explained to Closer. "I don't sit at my computer making a photo album of pictures; I'm focused. It's all about balance, and I've got it down to a science."

Facing the Unexpected
Even with her meticulous planning, Giuliana knows life doesn't always go according to plan. There are days when the unexpected throws a wrench into her routine. "If Duke has a fever or my family needs extra attention on a particular day, I’ll still go to work, but I’ll make my family the focus of my day—or maybe I’ll need to stay home from work," she shared with Closer. It's a reminder that even the most organized among us have to adapt to life's twists and turns.
