It’s been just one month since John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh welcomed their first child, Billy, into the world. And guess what? They’re already talking about adding to their growing family—ASAP! In a candid new interview, Caitlin, the 32-year-old actress, opened up about her desire to give Billy a sibling sooner rather than later. With John, who’s 54, by her side, she’s ready to dive headfirst into the next chapter of their parenting journey.
Why Another Baby So Soon?
When Entertainment Tonight asked Caitlin when she'd like to get pregnant again, her response was nothing short of enthusiastic. “As soon as I can!” she exclaimed. Caitlin went on to explain that while Billy is currently the apple of their eye, they want to ensure he doesn’t become too spoiled. “Right now, Billy is extremely spoiled,” she admitted with a laugh. “We need to share the love. He’s got to start sharing some of those toys and all the amazing things people have given him. Having siblings will help keep him grounded.”
She added, “If he’s the only one, he’ll get way too much love because there hasn’t been a child on either side of our family in quite some time. We want to make sure he grows up surrounded by love—not just from us, but from brothers or sisters who can share this incredible experience with him.”

A Girl Next Time?
Caitlin also shared her excitement about potentially having a baby girl in the future. “I would love to give him a little girl,” she confessed. “But honestly, we’re just happy as long as the baby is healthy—whether it’s a boy or a girl.” Caitlin and John tied the knot in February 2018, just months before welcoming Billy into the world. Now, they’re fully immersed in their roles as first-time parents, cherishing every moment together as a family.
John Stamos: The Perfect Dad
For Caitlin, watching John step into fatherhood has been nothing short of magical. “He used to say he wasn’t going to change any diapers,” she recalled with a smile. “But guess what? He’s changed so many! He totally doesn’t mind it. It’s beautiful seeing John with Billy. It all feels so right. It feels like this is the way it should’ve always been.”
She continued, “Fatherhood comes so naturally to him, and I absolutely love watching it unfold. I stare at the both of them all the time. John is 100 percent fully committed, active, and fantastic. He’s perfect—he’s a perfect father. I can’t wait to give him even more kids.”

Baby Billy: The Star of the Show
As for little Billy, who was born on April 15, 2018, Caitlin says he’s thriving. “He’s absolutely adorable,” she gushed. “Even all the little things—like gas and stuff—it’s all exciting. We’re like, ‘Oh yes, you pooped! That’s great! You farted, that’s great! You burped, right in my ear! You spit up in my face, and I couldn’t be happier.’ There’s a lot of positive reinforcement in our house for literally everything.”
Caitlin also noted that Billy has inherited some of John’s signature features, including his piercing blue eyes and expressive “scowl.” He also shares her “small ears,” which makes him even cuter in her eyes. “He’s just the sweetest little thing,” she concluded.
