Well, folks, it's a big day for the royal family! Prince William and Kate Middleton have officially become parents of three. That's right—on Monday, April 23, the 36-year-old Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Kensington Palace shared the joyous news with an official statement that had fans worldwide buzzing with excitement.
Here's what the official statement said: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101 hours. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.” Not only that, but the royal family made sure to inform everyone who matters—The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, and members of both families have all been notified and are thrilled with the news. As of now, the little prince's name remains a mystery, but we’re sure it’ll be something special.

When it is taken down, it is sent to the Privy Council Office so that the details may be recorded in the Privy Council records.” Talk about sticking to tradition, right?
