Now, you might be wondering where these two lovebirds are planning to jet off to after their whirlwind start as a royal couple. Speculation has been flying around, but Travel + Leisure has the scoop. They're reportedly heading to the breathtaking landscapes of Namibia for some much-needed R&R. Who wouldn’t want to recharge in such an awe-inspiring place?
Harry and Meghan: The Couple Who Can’t Catch a Break
Let’s take a moment to appreciate just how much this couple has been through. Months of wedding planning, endless media scrutiny, and then there’s the drama from Meghan’s so-called family. Her half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., even tried to throw a wrench in the wedding plans with a bizarre letter to Harry. In it, he suggested it wasn’t “too late” for Harry to reconsider marrying Meghan. Can you believe that?!
Thomas Jr.'s letter was nothing short of spiteful. He went as far as calling Meghan a “jaded, shallow, conceited woman” who would supposedly make a mockery of the royal family’s rich heritage. Wow, that’s heavy stuff. But let’s not forget, Harry and Meghan have shown they’re made of stronger stuff and are ready to face the world together.

Adding to the chaos before the big day, Meghan also had to deal with her half-sister Samantha Markle. Samantha admitted to orchestrating paparazzi photos of their father, Thomas Markle, who was supposed to walk Meghan down the aisle. But after suffering a heart attack amid all the hullabaloo, Thomas backed out. Now, it seems Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, might step in to take his place. What a rollercoaster ride!

Postponed Honeymoons: A Royal Tradition?
Though it might seem unusual for Harry and Meghan to delay their honeymoon, they're not the first royals to do so. Prince William and Kate Middleton did something similar, as royal commentator Victoria Arbiter points out. “William and Kate left for their honeymoon in the Seychelles ten days after their wedding. Before that, they were in Anglesey because William was working at his RAF search and rescue base.”
It seems Meghan is all about diving headfirst into her royal duties, wanting to “hit the ground running” as CNN reported. Despite their commitment, I’m sure you’ll agree with me when I say their much-deserved honeymoon can't come soon enough!
