It was supposed to be all about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day, but let’s be real—Prince George and Princess Charlotte almost upstaged them! The adorable children of Kate Middleton and Prince William were front and center, with George, who was just four at the time, serving as a page boy and Charlotte, three years old, as a bridesmaid. The wedding took place on May 19, 2018, at Windsor Castle, and the world couldn’t take its eyes off these two little cuties.
Before the wedding, a palace spokesperson gave us a hint that George and Charlotte would play important roles in the ceremony. Speaking to the Sunday Times, the source revealed, “The wedding will be a family event, and you can expect the family to be heavily involved.” The source also mentioned that the children had already met their future aunt Meghan “many times” leading up to the big day, which surely helped them feel comfortable and excited about their roles.

Harry and Meghan’s Little Dream Team: Who Else Was Part of the Wedding Party?
Harry and Meghan weren’t just counting on George and Charlotte to bring the cuteness factor. They had a total of 10 children in their wedding party, each playing a special role. Among the bridesmaids was three-year-old Miss Florence van Cutsem, Prince Harry’s goddaughter and the daughter of Mrs. Alice van Cutsem and Major Nicholas van Cutsem. Another of Harry’s goddaughters, two-year-old Miss Zalie Warren, was also part of the wedding. Zalie is the daughter of Mrs. Zoe Warren and Mr. Jake Warren.
Then there was Meghan’s goddaughter, six-year-old Miss Remi Litt, who joined the party. She’s the daughter of Mrs. Benita Litt and Mr. Darren Litt. Remi’s older sister, seven-year-old Miss Rylan Litt, was also a bridesmaid. Prince George wasn’t the only page boy gracing the aisle that day. Joining him was Prince Harry’s godson, six-year-old Master Jasper Dyer, the son of Mrs. Amanda Dyer and Mr. Mark Dyer M.V.O. Meghan and Jessica Mulroney must be close, because Meghan included Jessica’s seven-year-old twin boys, Master Brian Mulroney and Master John Mulroney, in the wedding party as well.
According to Stephanie Staub, a royal wedding expert who spoke with BRIDES magazine, the attire for bridesmaids and page boys in British royal weddings follows a classic and charming tradition. “Flower girls typically wear long silk dresses with puff sleeves and a sash tying in a big bow at the back. It’s the perfect princess dress every little girl dreams of!” Staub explained. “As for the page boys, depending on their age, they might wear silk breeches if they’re young, or trousers if they’re a bit older. A cummerbund and a Peter Pan collar or officer collar shirt completes the look. For example, Princess Diana’s and Kate Middleton’s flower girls wore ivory silk dresses, with their page boys donning military jackets.”
