Grant also suggests that Kate’s increased public appearances might have another purpose: supporting her soon-to-be sister-in-law, Meghan Markle. “It’s possible that the Duchess is helping to pave the way for Meghan Markle, showing her the ropes of royal duties,” he explains. “We saw this during the Royal Foundation’s inaugural forum, where Kate played a key role in introducing the future Princess Henry of Wales to royal life. It’s clear that Kate will be a strong support system for Meghan as she steps into her new role.”
