Harry and Meghan's Special Bond with the Invictus Games
There’s something magical about the Invictus Games that touches the hearts of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The now-engaged couple made their first official public appearance together at the second annual event in Toronto last year. And guess what? They’re turning it into a tradition. Just recently, they visited Bath, England, to meet with Invictus Games athletes who were competing in the UK Team Trials on April 6. During a heartwarming chat with one of the athletes, Meghan accidentally revealed she’s planning to attend this year’s Games in Sydney. It seems like she’s genuinely excited to join Harry on this meaningful journey.
Michael Mellon, an athlete participating in sitting volleyball and wheelchair basketball, shared the news with royal reporter Omid Scobie. He said, “She told me she had never been to Australia but was going to this year’s event and really looking forward to being there with Harry.” While Kensington Palace hasn’t officially confirmed the details yet, this will likely mark Meghan’s first overseas tour as part of the royal family. It’s a big deal, and fans are buzzing with excitement.

Casual Style and Heartfelt Moments
During their visit to the Invictus Games trial events, Harry and Meghan dressed down in their most relaxed looks yet, and they looked absolutely fantastic. Meghan opted for a chic Invictus Games polo paired with black bootcut Mother Denim jeans and a knee-length khaki green trench coat. Harry, on the other hand, wore an Invictus Games windbreaker over his polo, keeping things casual and sporty. It was a perfect way to show their support for the athletes.
Maurillia Simpson, one of the Invictus Games participants, couldn’t help but gush about Harry’s warm personality. She told People, “Every time [Harry] sees me now, he gives me an embrace. It’s just something we do, and I always tell him how much I appreciate him as a person and for who he is to us as soldiers.” Simpson, who is 44 years old, tried out for the shot put event before having a chance to chat with Harry and Meghan. During their conversation, Meghan joked about how British she’s become, saying, “I’m British now. I’m totally British because I speak about the weather all the time.”
