How the Young Royals Keep in Touch
When you think of the most famous family in the world, you might picture them communicating through royal decrees or formal letters. But here's the surprising truth: the younger generation of England’s royals is staying connected in a way that’s probably a lot like how you and your friends stay in touch—through a good old-fashioned group chat on WhatsApp. In a recent interview with the Daily Mirror, Mike Tindall, husband to Zara Tindall, spilled the tea on how they keep the family loop tight in the digital age.
Mike Tindall on Keeping Up with the Royals
In his candid chat with the Daily Mirror, Mike opened up about the family’s preferred method of communication. "Me, my brother, and a few of Zara’s side—like her brother Pete and the cousins—are all on WhatsApp groups," he revealed. "I wouldn’t say we’re cutting-edge tech wizards, but there’s just something about WhatsApp that makes it so much easier to stay connected." Now, Mike didn’t drop any names, but it’s pretty safe to assume that "the cousins" include heavy hitters like Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie.

A Year of Milestones for the Royals
2018 is shaping up to be a blockbuster year for the royal family. With Prince Harry set to tie the knot with Meghan Markle on May 19, Princess Eugenie planning her autumn wedding to Jack Brooksbank, and both Zara Tindall and Kate Middleton expecting new additions to their families, it's no surprise that Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren are leaning on their trusty group chat. Mike hinted that the WhatsApp group is buzzing with wedding planning updates and pregnancy excitement, sprinkled with emojis for added flair. Imagine the royal emojis—crowning the chat with a regal touch!
Mike Tindall Talks Upcoming Weddings
When it comes to the jam-packed royal calendar, Mike Tindall is as excited as the rest of us. "We will be going to Harry’s and Eugenie’s weddings—I think so, anyway. We haven’t officially been invited yet, but we’re definitely looking forward to them," he shared. But the big event of the year, according to Mike, is the arrival of the newest addition to the family. "That, I think, will be the most important thing to happen this year," he said. Mike and Zara, already proud parents to four-year-old Mia Tindall, announced their second child earlier this month. "If it goes well, we’ll be thrilled," Mike added, his excitement palpable.
