Building a Sisterly Bond: Kate and Meghan’s Growing Relationship
After May 19, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton will officially become sister-in-laws, marking the start of a new chapter in their lives. It’s only natural that they lean on each other for support, especially given the unique challenges of royal life. In fact, sources say that the Duchess of Cambridge has turned to Meghan for advice during her current pregnancy. That’s right—Kate is finding comfort in Meghan’s wisdom as she navigates motherhood once again.
For Kate, this pregnancy hasn’t been easy. She suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, earlier in her journey. Now at seven months along, she’s discovering that staying regal isn’t as simple as it sounds. Friends have reassured her that things get easier with time, but the physical and emotional toll has been significant. “She’s finding it challenging,” an insider told Us Weekly. “It’s been quite a struggle for her.”

Close Friends in Close Quarters
Luckily for Kate, Meghan lives just a stone’s throw away at Kensington Palace, making it easy for them to connect. “Meghan shares tips she’s read about healthy eating,” a source revealed to Us Weekly. It’s these little moments of connection that make their friendship so genuine. Whether it’s discussing meal plans or sharing personal experiences, the two are clearly building a strong bond.
From the start, Kate and Meghan have hit it off, and their relationship has only grown stronger over time. “I’m sure Kate will do all she can to help Meghan,” said a source from the Duchess’ hometown of Bucklebury, England, speaking to People magazine. Describing Meghan, the insider added, “She’s funny, serious, and extremely hardworking. I can imagine Kate will find a great friend in her.”
A Godmother in the Making?
Reports suggest that Kate wants Meghan to play an important role in her family’s future. Specifically, she’s considering asking Meghan to be the godmother of her third child. “They’ve already formed a strong sisterly bond, and it’s Kate’s way of showing how close they’ve become,” an insider shared with Women’s Day. That’s a pretty big honor if you ask me.
When Meghan and Prince Harry announced their engagement back in November, Kate was one of the first to express her joy. “We are very excited for Harry and Meghan. It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together,” she said at the time. Kate also added, “William and I are absolutely thrilled. It’s such exciting news. It’s a really happy time for any couple, and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment.”
As we look ahead to the wedding, there’s no doubt that Kate will be one of Meghan’s bridesmaids. The two have clearly formed a special connection, and their relationship is only going to grow stronger with time.
