Hey there, Roseanne fans! Let’s clear up any drama once and for all. There’s absolutely no bad blood between Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke, the two actresses who famously played Becky Conner on the iconic sitcom. Lecy originally portrayed Becky for the first six seasons, plus Season 8, while Sarah took over the role in Seasons 6, 7, and 9. But here’s the exciting part—they’re both set to appear in the reboot!

Now, listen up because this is juicy. In the much-anticipated revival, set to premiere on March 27, Lecy will step back into her iconic role as Becky. But here’s the twist—Sarah will be playing Andrea, a middle-class married woman who hires Becky as her surrogate. That’s right, folks, they’re not just appearing together, they’re sharing some serious screen time. "I actually requested that Sarah come back and that we’d have scenes together when I first heard about the show coming back," Lecy revealed in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. "I’ve said this before, but I really don’t like how people pit us against each other," she added. Sarah chimed in, saying, "It’s ridiculous."

  • Lecy is thrilled with how the writers have integrated Sarah into the reboot. "It could have been very broad, it could have been really over the top, but I feel like it was written in a way that was very dynamic and interesting," she explained. "I feel like the way Sarah’s character was written was very intriguing and could have gone a different way, in a much broader way, and I really appreciate that the writers are that good to do that. It just makes it more grounded," Lecy added with a smile.

Sarah Chalke's Excitement About the New Role

In a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sarah couldn’t contain her excitement about her new character. "I love the part! It’s such a fun part to play," she gushed. Sarah went on to express her enthusiasm for the show's return. "I was so excited to hear that it was coming back. I think the timing is perfect. I think it’s exactly what is needed right now," she shared. "Right now when the country is so divided, I really think it’s a show that brings people together. The writing is so unbelievable. It’s so funny," Sarah concluded. We couldn’t agree more, and we can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for us!
