In that sweet video, Kelly shared the inspiration behind her first book. She talked about her experiences traveling with River Rose, “It’s kind of a cool thing to be on a plane with my daughter, we were going on trips to the UK and Asia and Australia, all these amazing places that she was too little to remember.” She added, “Basically I started writing down these little fun stories — of like when we went to Australia and she got to hang out with some kangaroos.”
Kelly’s hope is that her books inspire little ones to dream big and believe in their potential. “I guess my hope is for little kids to read River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and be inspired by it, and know they can achieve anything,” she said earnestly. “And still dream big and make big things happen.”
