Who can resist the charm of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend? They're like the ultimate power couple of relatable moments. In a recent heartwarming interview with The Receipt, the soulful singer opened up about how their family has been keeping things simple over the holidays. For the last couple of years, they've been treating themselves to McDonald’s on Christmas. Yep, you heard that right—golden arches on the big day!
“It’s definitely a Chrissy tradition,” John laughed, reminiscing about their unconventional holiday meal. But this year, they're shaking things up. “We’ve decided to go all out with Beef Wellington as our main dish,” he shared. Sounds like they're ready to elevate their Christmas feast!
Of course, no holiday meal is complete without a few more sides. John mentioned that Chrissy, ever the practical one, plans to order a Christmas ham rather than cook it herself. “She doesn’t see the point in stressing over making her own ham when Honey Baked Ham does it so well,” he joked. It’s clear Chrissy knows how to keep things fun and stress-free during the holidays.

From McDonald's to Beef Wellington: A Legendary Christmas
With John wrapping up his A Legendary Christmas Tour in December, it looks like this year’s Christmas feast will be a feast to remember. The couple’s holiday vibe is all about embracing the spirit of the season. John told Heat magazine that his concert series will be “super Christmassy.”
“We’re going all out with decorations and sticking to that retro vibe,” he shared. “We set the tone with the album photo shoot, and the tour will carry that same energy. It’s going to be magical!”
Meanwhile, John and Chrissy are also thinking about how to balance the excitement of Christmas with their growing family. They have two kids, Luna, who’s 2, and baby Miles, who’s just 5 months old. John revealed that they’re trying not to overdo it with presents this year. “It’s tricky to figure out how to handle Christmas with little ones,” he admitted. “Every day feels like Christmas because they get something new all the time. We’re trying to keep things grounded and normal for them.”

Teaching Gratitude During the Holidays
For John, who grew up without much, teaching his kids to appreciate what they have is important. “We didn’t have the means for extravagant Christmas celebrations when I was growing up,” he explained. “Now, it’s strange raising kids who live a completely different life, surrounded by privilege and wealth. We want to make sure they understand the value of everything they receive.”
Even though gifts will be more modest this year, Luna and Miles are sure to enjoy whatever their parents get them. Maybe even a cute little Happy Meal to keep things fun and light? After all, Chrissy and John know how to keep things real while still spreading joy.
