You just can’t keep the Irwin family Down Under for long! Terri Irwin, Bindi Irwin, and Robert Irwin are back on our screens, starting a "new chapter of our lives," as 14-year-old Robert exclusively told Closer Weekly. The Irwins are bringing their passion for wildlife to the forefront with their new Animal Planet series, Crikey! It’s the Irwins. Filmed at the iconic Australia Zoo, the show marks the first time all three family members have teamed up for a series since the untimely passing of Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin in 2006 at the age of 44, following a tragic stingray encounter.

Bindi Irwin: Leading the Pack with Passion
“I have the best family on the planet,” said Bindi Irwin, now 20, with a glowing smile. Bindi, who cares for over 1,200 animals alongside her mom and brother, is nothing short of a role model. “Robert is truly a scientist and I’m constantly learning from him. And mom, she’s like Wonder Woman—running the zoo while always being there for me and Robert,” she shared with pride. Bindi’s energy and enthusiasm are contagious, and it’s clear that she’s carrying the torch her dad lit so brightly.
Terri Irwin: Keeping the Flame Alive
It’s been 12 years since the loss of her husband, but Terri Irwin remains inspired by the man she loved so deeply. “Crikey! He was always going 90 miles per hour, rarely sleeping past 2 a.m.,” Terri, now 54, reminisced. “He’d do a full day’s work before I even got started, and he was just as passionate as what you saw on television.” Steve’s energy was unmatched, and Terri continues to draw strength from his memory, ensuring his legacy lives on through their work at the zoo.

Terri jokes that from the moment her kids were born, Steve was a hands-on dad. “There was nothing that made him happier than sharing wildlife and adventures with Bindi and Robert,” she said with a warm laugh. It’s clear that Steve’s passion for wildlife has been passed down to the next generation, and it’s a legacy that the entire family cherishes.

Robert Irwin: The Next Generation
The lessons Steve taught his children are at the heart of their new series. “He always said to treat animals the way you’d want to be treated,” Robert recalled thoughtfully. “That’s always stayed with us. Of course, that’s applicable to people as well. If you treat every living thing around you with love and respect, then that will always be reciprocated. I think that’s a really important message, especially in this day and age.” Robert’s wisdom, despite his young age, is a testament to the values his father instilled in him.
Bindi shared that her late dad always encouraged her and Robert to follow their passions. “Dad always encouraged us to do what we love,” she said. “We can’t imagine how much it would mean to Steve, knowing his family was following in his footsteps and living out his legacy.” It’s evident that the Irwins are not just carrying on Steve’s work but are also making it their own, creating a legacy that will inspire future generations.
