In an official statement released by a royal family spokesperson, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge expressed their excitement for Pippa and James. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James," the spokesperson said, speaking on behalf of Kate, 36, and Prince William, also 36. It’s not hard to imagine the pride and joy Kate must be feeling as she watches her younger sister step into motherhood.
Pippa’s Baby News Goes Public
The Daily Mail's royals correspondent, Rebecca English, was the first to break the news on Twitter. "[Prince] George, [Princess] Charlotte, and [Prince] Louis have a new cousin! James and Pippa Matthews (Middleton) have had a baby boy," she tweeted on the morning of October 16. According to English, the baby boy was born at 1:58 p.m. on October 15, weighing in at 8 pounds and 9 ounces. Everyone is thrilled, and both mother and baby are doing wonderfully.

A Season of Royal Baby Joy
Kate and William welcomed their third child, Prince Louis, just six months ago on April 23. It’s safe to say that Kate and Pippa, 35, are thrilled to have sons so close in age. Kate and William were quick to express their delight over Meghan’s pregnancy. “They are delighted” about the Duchess of Sussex’s first pregnancy, according to a statement. It’s a beautiful time for the royal family, with so many new little ones on the way!
