Let’s be real here — we’ve all been waiting for this moment. Eva Longoria, the incredibly talented star of Desperate Housewives, finally got the recognition she so richly deserves. On April 16, Eva, who, by the way, is expecting a baby, received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And guess what? Some of her closest celebrity friends were there to celebrate with her.
“What a dream come true today!” Eva shared on Instagram before the ceremony. “Receiving my star on the Walk of Fame is an honor I can’t even believe I’m about to experience! I’m so excited to join the legends, and I can’t wait for all of you to visit it and take some amazing selfies!” Eva’s excitement was palpable, and her fans couldn’t be happier for her.

The day was filled with love and laughter as Eva’s friends gathered to celebrate her incredible journey. In the audience were none other than Ricky Martin, Anna Faris, Victoria Beckham, and her Desperate Housewives co-star Felicity Huffman, who was joined by her husband, William H. Macy. Even those who couldn’t make it in person, like Gina Rodriguez, were sending their heartfelt congratulations. “I wish I could be there cheering you on!” Gina wrote on Instagram. “You’ve inspired so many, and I’m so proud to see you celebrated today.”
A Day of Honors and Highs
The celebration didn’t stop there. Eva continued the festivities by attending a luncheon with Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon. Reese couldn’t help but express her admiration for Eva. “Congrats @EvaLongoria for your star on the Hollywood #WalkofFame,” she tweeted. “This woman is not just a superstar actress, producer, and director, but she’s also about to be a mama! She’s truly changing Hollywood with everything she touches. Pure gold, baby!”
And let’s talk about Eva’s impressive resume. Beyond her unforgettable roles in Desperate Housewives and Telenovela, she’s also been a driving force behind the scenes. She’s served as a producer for the blockbuster film John Wick and executive producer for the TV show Devious Maids. She’s also been involved in documentaries like Food Chains and Ours Is a Future, and the ABC pilot Grand Hotel. Oh, and did we mention she’s directed episodes of Jane the Virgin and Black-ish? Along the way, she’s earned numerous awards, including multiple ALMA Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, People’s Choice Awards, and Teen Choice Awards.
Joining the Legends
Now, Eva has her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, joining other honorees from 2018, like Gillian Anderson, Mary J. Blige, Minnie Mouse, Gina Lollobrigida, Mandy Patinkin, Mark Hamill, RuPaul, Lynda Carter, and Tracy Morgan. And the list of upcoming honorees is just as impressive, with names like Jack Black, Zoe Saldana, Anthony Anderson, Taraji P. Henson, and Shonda Rhimes.
Eva herself couldn’t be more thrilled. “I’m officially available to be walked all over!” she joked on Twitter later that day. “What an honor! Thank you Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and everyone who helped make this happen!”
