Let’s talk about Meghan Markle and her influence on Prince Harry when it comes to healthy living. It’s no secret that Meghan has always been passionate about staying fit and eating well. So, it’s no surprise that she’s been helping her husband, Prince Harry, clean up his diet and step up his workout game since before their big day on May 19.
A Beautiful Influence on Harry
Here’s the scoop: “Meghan is a beautiful influence on Harry,” says an insider to People. “They both worked hard to be the healthiest they could be before they got married.” And let’s be real, who doesn’t want to look and feel their best for their wedding day? The royal couple was reportedly hitting the gym more and cutting back on carbs, proving that they were both committed to their health goals.
The Pantry Makeover
In fact, Vanity Fair reported that Meghan didn’t waste any time. She literally threw out all the junk food in Harry’s Kensington Palace pantry and filled the fridge with fresh vegetables from Whole Foods Market, just a stone’s throw away from their royal residence. Now that’s dedication! Picture this: Harry coming home to find all his favorite snacks gone and replaced with kale and quinoa. It’s a love story with a healthy twist.

Harry’s Nutritionist and Workout Routine
Harry has also been working with London-based nutritionist Gabriela Peacock, according to the New York Daily News. Peacock’s advice? Stick to a low-sugar, high-protein, dairy-free diet, and load up on antioxidant-heavy berries and superfood-packed smoothie bowls. If you’re thinking, “Wow, that sounds intense,” you’re not wrong. But hey, if it’s good enough for Princess Eugenie, one of Harry’s cousins, it’s probably worth a shot.
“Meghan encouraged Harry to get rid of any remnants of his party lifestyle,” the insider told People. “She wanted him to get in shape and be healthy.” And it seems like Harry was all in. He’s been spotted at KX Gym, a high-end athletic club in Chelsea that Meghan also loves, at 7 a.m. almost every day. “He’s getting his soldier body back,” a source told the Daily News. With gym memberships costing up to $1,000 a month, it’s safe to say they’re not exactly working out among the commoners.
The Royal Workout Partner
Before the wedding, an E! News insider revealed that Harry was already in good shape when he met Meghan, but the two of them enjoy healthy living together. “They eat sensibly, his diet is very clean, and ahead of the wedding, he is working out five times a week with a personal trainer,” the insider said. Sounds like Meghan has found her perfect workout partner.
Quitting Smoking and Other Healthy Changes
But the changes didn’t stop at diet and exercise. Meghan also convinced Harry to quit smoking, which is no small feat. “Harry has lost weight, started a healthier diet, and even gave up smoking cigarettes,” the insider told People. “They both felt amazing leading up to the wedding. And he couldn’t have done it without her support.”
Now that they’re newlyweds, we’re betting they’ll keep up this intense diet and workout regimen. After all, who wouldn’t want to stay fit and healthy with a partner who supports you every step of the way?
