Hey there, friends! You know Prince Harry—always full of surprises and never shy about sharing his thoughts. In journalist Angela Levin’s new book, Harry: A Biography of a Prince, Harry dives deep into his past as a young rebel before finding love with Meghan Markle. He talks about his wild days and how they shaped the man he is today.
From Wild Prince to Royal Role Model
Harry admits that even now, he sometimes feels like he's living in a goldfish bowl. "I still feel that way sometimes," he says, "but I've learned to manage it better. I still have that mischievous streak, and I actually enjoy it. It’s how I connect with people who might be going through tough times." Back in the day, Harry was no stranger to making headlines for all the wrong reasons—partying, pranks, and more. But joining the British Army changed everything for him, giving him a new sense of purpose and direction.
The Heartwarming Side of Prince Harry
But let's not forget that beneath all that mischief, Harry has a big, warm heart. He’s not afraid to admit that he's a great hugger, just like his late mother, Princess Diana. "Everyone needs a hug every now and then," he says, "and I happen to be really good at it." He adds, "I think this would make Diana smile with pride." It’s heartwarming to see how much of his mother lives on in him, even after all these years.

Being Born Into Royalty: A Double-Edged Sword
If Harry had the choice, would he still choose the royal life? Probably not. "If you're born into it, as we were, it feels normal to feel like you don't want it," he confesses. "We don't want to be just celebrities; we want to use our roles for good." At 33, Harry realizes the importance of his position and is determined to make the most of it. "I want to make something of my life," he says. "I know there’s only a small window when people are interested in me before George and Charlotte take over, and I’ve got to seize this opportunity."

And it seems like Harry’s rebellious spirit might have rubbed off on his niece, Princess Charlotte. According to her dad, Prince William, Charlotte is already showing signs of being a handful. "She's going to be trouble when she gets older," William joked. "All fathers tell me to watch out for the little girls." It’s clear that the royal family has its fair share of fun and mischief!
