The Wedding Drama Unfolds
It’s official—weddings can be complicated, even for a future royal. Not everyone in Meghan Markle’s family is thrilled about how the guest list for her big day turned out. Estranged half-sister Samantha Grant is making waves with her latest outburst on Twitter, airing grievances about being excluded from the royal wedding. If you thought the Markle family drama was over, think again. Samantha is not holding back, and she’s got plenty to say about the guest list.
Samantha Speaks Her Mind
In her recent Twitter rant, Samantha didn’t mince words. She accused Meghan of excluding the extended family from the wedding, despite claims that over a thousand strangers are set to attend. According to Samantha, it’s not just about who’s invited—it’s about family loyalty. She boldly claimed that she, along with Meghan and her brother, are all 15th cousins to Prince Harry. Her tweets made it clear that she feels the exclusion is not just disrespectful but downright inappropriate. “Family is family,” she emphasized, adding that even distant relatives deserve consideration.

Samantha didn’t stop there. She argued that inviting two thousand strangers while excluding family members is a glaring oversight. “Smoke and mirrors cannot hide the elephant in the room,” she tweeted, suggesting that respect, tradition, and humanitarianism demand that the Markles be included. Her list of overlooked family members includes her uncle, who helped Meghan land an internship, her brother, herself, and even a lifelong friend, Nikki Priddy. It’s a bold claim, and Samantha seems determined to make her voice heard.
Invitation Expectations
Reports suggest that Samantha wasn’t on the guest list from the start, and it’s unlikely she received an invitation. Her previous comments hint at the media circus she predicts if she and other Markle family members were to attend. “I can’t imagine how anyone would anticipate a normal, traditional, royal wedding,” she quipped, imagining the chaos if the Markles showed up. Despite the drama, Samantha remains hopeful. “It’s just so silly,” she said. “We’re so normal. And yes, I would love to go, but we have no idea what’s going to happen.”
Other Family Members Weigh In
In a March interview with Good Morning Britain, Meghan’s nephew Tyler Dooley and ex-sister-in-law Tracy Dooley revealed they likely weren’t invited either. Unlike Samantha, they seemed unfazed by the exclusion. Tracy, who hasn’t spoken to Meghan in two decades, and Tyler, who hasn’t spoken to her in three years, expressed understanding and support. “Chances are, I don’t think that we are going to get the invitations and that’s just fine. We’re OK with that,” Tracy shared. Tyler chimed in, “We’ve been here from the very beginning. I mean, her whole life, just always rooting her on and supporting her.” It’s a touching reminder that family support comes in many forms.

Parents in the Spotlight
While some family members are left out, Meghan’s parents, Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle Sr., are expected to be front and center. Sources reveal that Thomas Sr. is “overjoyed” to attend the wedding, despite any personal challenges he may face. “He’s not exactly thrilled at facing the world’s glare,” a source told The Sun, “but nothing will stop him from having Meghan on his arm for the big day.” Tracy Dooley also confirmed that Thomas Sr. will be attending, marking his first trip to England and his first meeting with Prince Harry. “I’ve heard that he’s going to be over there and I’m sure that he will be giving her away,” she said. The arrangements are underway, and Thomas Sr. is reportedly excited to play a pivotal role in his daughter’s special day.
