After a decade working behind closed doors in the royal household, Paul Burrell knows a thing or two about how things tick for the Windsors. In a recent sit-down with Now To Love, the legendary royal butler has dropped some bombshells. Among them? Prince Charles might never become King. Paul also dishes on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's family plans, the upcoming royal wedding, and what William and Kate might name their third child. So, grab your tea, settle in, and scroll down for Paul's royal predictions straight from the source!
Charles Might Bow Out of the Throne
Queen Elizabeth has already started passing the baton to her firstborn son, Prince Charles, preparing him for the big role of King. But according to Paul, the monarchy could be in for a major shake-up when the Queen passes on. Here's what the 59-year-old had to say: “This is a bold prediction, but we may never see Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles on the throne of England. Stay tuned,” he declared. Now, that’s some serious tea!

Paul elaborated, “Why? Because when the Queen passes, and she’ll be well over a hundred, she will never abdicate. When she’s gone, I think Charles will do the honorable thing and say, ‘I’m too old for this enormous responsibility.’” He added, “And wouldn’t the world and the Commonwealth prefer a younger King and Queen — the stunning Kate and William? I think this is the next chapter for the royal family.”
Harry: The People's Prince
While Buckingham Palace would never comment on the possibility of Prince Charles stepping aside, Paul also predicted that while Prince William and Kate Middleton are being groomed for the throne, Prince Harry is carving out his own legacy, much like his late mother, Princess Diana. “Harry is becoming the People’s Prince. He can do things his brother could never do because William is destined to be King with Kate by his side,” Paul said. “It shouldn’t come as a surprise that in Harry’s mind, everything revolves around his mother. His mother, who the royal family tried to erase. Those boys were brought back into the fold, and her name wasn’t allowed to be mentioned,” Paul revealed.
