Understanding Microvascular Brain Disease
So, what exactly is microvascular brain disease? It's a condition where the small blood vessels in the brain undergo changes, leading to damage in the brain's white matter. White matter is crucial because it contains the nerve fibers that help different parts of the brain communicate. Healthline explains that without proper treatment, this disease can lead to serious issues, including mental decline, strokes, problems with walking and balance, and even dementia. It's a heavy diagnosis, but knowing what they're up against is the first step in fighting it.

Exploring the Possible Causes
While pinpointing the exact cause of microvascular brain disease isn’t always easy, Scott gave some insight into what might have contributed to Renee’s condition. Speaking with The Blast, he mentioned her past career as a stuntwoman in the '90s, where she worked on popular shows like Baywatch and Pacific Blue. "She was a former stuntwoman and had a massive brain injury in '92 due to a jet ski accident. We don’t know if her tumors and this new disease have anything to do with this," Scott explained. He added that, regardless of the cause, managing stress, avoiding depression and anxiety, and ensuring plenty of rest are key to helping Renee live her best life.
