Hey there, friends! Let's talk about Kate Middleton for a moment. The Duchess of Cambridge is juggling motherhood with her personal interests, and it’s not as easy as it might seem. Picture this: Kate, with two little ones already and a third on the way, finds herself in a situation where her passion for tennis has taken a backseat. During a tennis event on January 17, she shared, “I love tennis. It’s such a fantastic sport, and I was super into sports when I was younger. But now? With all these little ones around, it’s not the same anymore.” She even gave her growing baby bump a little pat as she spoke.

Mom Life: Kate’s Hands Are Full

With Prince George, who’s four, and Princess Charlotte, who’s two, Kate’s life is a whirlwind. These little ones are growing up fast, getting involved in school and their own activities. But that hasn’t stopped Kate from finding ways to stay connected to her love for tennis. She’s been spotted at tennis events and even makes it a point to attend Wimbledon whenever she can. Remember that time she joked about wanting to grab a racket during Wimbledon? “Every time Wimbledon rolls around, I think, ‘Yes, I could do that too!’ But alas, the results are never quite the same,” she laughed.

  • Even though Kate hasn’t been able to practice her tennis skills lately, it seems like little Charlotte is picking up the racket and following in her mom’s footsteps. Back in December 2017, a source told The Sun, “Charlotte might not turn three until May, but they were sure she’d love tennis, and so far, she has. She seems like a natural!” And what about George? Well, he’s learning too, but at four years old, he’s more interested in hitting the ball as hard as he can. LTA coach Sam Richardson shared, “Kate mentioned that with George being four, he just wants to whack the ball. She was asking what kind of activities she should be doing with him. They’ll struggle at that age to hit a ball properly. He’s interested, but more in whacking the ball.”

    Future Family Tennis Matches?

Maybe when the kids grow up a bit, Kate can dust off her racket and play some tennis with them. Can you imagine family tennis matches at the palace? It sounds like fun, doesn’t it? In the meantime, Kate continues to balance her life as a mom and her love for sports. And hey, if she ever needs some pointers, I’m sure she can find some great coaches out there!
