Hey there, friends. Let’s take a moment to reflect on something truly heartfelt. Maria Menounos recently shared some deeply emotional news with her followers. The 39-year-old TV personality, known for her vibrant energy and candidness, opened up about the passing of her beloved dog, Baby. On Tuesday, February 6, Maria took to Instagram to express her sorrow. She wrote, "RIP Baby. We spent almost 18 incredible years together. She was my first dog and the embodiment of a dream that I carried in my heart my entire life. Growing up, I would borrow friends' dogs just so I could take them for walks. When I returned home from working at the Super Bowl, I found out that my husband, Keven Undergaro, had to let Baby go peacefully without me by her side. She fought with every ounce of strength she had until the very end," Maria shared, accompanied by several touching photos of Baby.
A Dog That Left an Indelible Mark
It’s clear that Baby wasn’t just a pet; she was a cherished member of Maria’s family. Maria continued, "This dog inspired me in ways I never imagined. Her spirit and determination were unmatched. Before her 16th birthday, Baby faced severe pancreatitis and kidney failure. Keven was by her side every single day at the vet’s office, holding her close to his chest while working on his computer. Even our beloved veterinarian, Dr. Brian Spar, believed it was time to let her go, but Baby had other plans. She made an incredible recovery, and to celebrate her resilience, we threw her a Sweet 16 birthday bash! I knew every day after that was a blessing," Maria wrote with gratitude.

I would borrow friends dogs & Take them on walks growing up. I came home from working at the Super Bowl to find that @undergaro had to give her safe passage w/out me. She fought until the last moment. This dog inspired me so much with her spirit & her fight. Before her 16th she had severe pancreatitis & her Kidneys were failing. Keven spent everyday at the Vet w/ her on his chest while he worked from his computer. After every vet, even our beloved dr @brianspar said it was Time, baby had a miraculous turnaround. To celebrate we threw her a sweet 16 bday bash! I knew everyday after that was a gift. She’s been w/us from our days in a one bedroom apt when buying razors was tough & going to Taco Bell on a fri night was a treat bc we could afford a pan pizza from Pizza Hut.she got us through the best & worst of times. There are no words to explain the ❤️. There’s a hole in my heart however I really want to shift the tears to celebrating her amazing life & the blessing of almost 18 years with my little angel. I know it’s hard for some to understand bc maybe they haven’t experienced the unconditional love from a dog, but it’s deep & special. Baby I will never forget you my little angel, thank you for the laughs, the kisses(yours were always my favorite) and for fighting to stick around long enough for me to heal from surgery & Marry Your daddy. 😘❤️

A Journey Through Life's Ups and Downs
Baby was more than a companion; she was a witness to Maria and Keven's journey together. "She was there with us during our early days in a one-bedroom apartment when money was tight, and a night out at Taco Bell felt like a luxury. She saw us through the highs and lows of life. There are no words to capture the depth of the love we shared," Maria expressed. "While there's a hole in my heart, I want to focus on celebrating her incredible life and the almost 18 years we had together with my little angel. I understand it might be hard for some to grasp the profound connection that comes with the unconditional love of a dog, but it's something truly special," she added with heartfelt emotion.
