Back in the days before they officially confirmed their romance, Meghan and her co-stars on Suits had a clever way of keeping things under wraps. They gave Harry a playful code name, and it's as adorable as you'd imagine.
Remember the days when Meghan was still on Suits? Well, Wendell Pierce, who played her on-screen dad, spilled the beans on the charming code name during an appearance on Harry with Harry Connick Jr. “She met this nice guy, and we always talked about him in code,” Wendell revealed with a warm smile. “You know, ‘How you doing?’ ‘Oh, I’m going to London, coming from London, whatever.’” It’s clear they were having fun keeping their secret safe while still sharing little hints with each other.
A Heartwarming Goodbye
As Meghan’s time on Suits came to an end, Wendell shared a touching moment with her. “I had a really wonderful moment as we were wrapping up her time on the show,” he recalled. “It was just her and me in the room, and I said, ‘I know your life is going to change, but always know, no matter where you are, I will always be your loving fake father.’” That’s the kind of heartfelt goodbye that reminds us why people love working with Meghan—she leaves a lasting impression.

After seven incredible years on Suits, Meghan felt ready to move on. “We were so fortunate to have that longevity, and I feel like I checked that box and am very proud of the work I’ve done there,” she added with pride.

Fast forward to their wedding day, set for Saturday, May 19, 2018. The world watched as Meghan officially became a member of the royal family. While the couple kept many details of the big day under wraps, they ensured everyone could feel part of the celebration. “The couple of course want the day to be a special, celebratory moment for their friends and family,” a palace spokesperson shared. “They also want the day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too.”
Even though Meghan had left Suits, her fans could still see her on the small screen during this historic event. And let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to tune in to witness such a magical day?
