Family ties run deep, and the Lachey brothers are proving it once again! In an exclusive sit-down with Closer Weekly, 98° band members Drew Lachey and Nick Lachey opened up about their memorable experiences on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. Fans will remember that Drew claimed the coveted Mirrorball Trophy in Season 2, while Nick just wrapped up his own competitive run in Season 25. This brotherly duo is not just about music—they’re about supporting each other through every step of life.
When asked if Drew offered any guidance to Nick during his time on the show, Drew playfully teased his sibling, asking, “Did I?” But Nick quickly confirmed that his older brother was indeed a source of encouragement. “Well, you know, move your hips, lower your shoulders back,” Nick revealed, sharing Drew’s advice. “He was incredibly uplifting and supportive throughout my journey.” Drew chimed in, adding, “I’d text him regularly, saying, ‘Don’t stress about this week. Come back next week and hit the reset button.’” It’s clear that the bond between these brothers goes beyond the stage—it’s a true testament to their unwavering support for one another.

Spreading Joy Through Music and Charity
Recently, Closer Weekly caught up with 98°—including Nick, Drew, Jeff Timmons, and Justin Jeffre—as they joined forces with Masterpass by Mastercard in New York City. The band surprised employees and volunteers at the Red Cross with an unforgettable performance, honoring their relentless efforts in Hurricane Disaster Relief. “When we heard about this opportunity to show our appreciation and respect for the Red Cross and all they do, it was a no-brainer,” the band shared. “We admire and respect everything they’ve accomplished in helping communities like Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and Houston. It’s been a tough year for them, so being able to show them that their work is valued meant a lot to us—it was incredibly fulfilling.”
Spreading Holiday Cheer
The Red Cross team was thrilled to hear 98° belt out some festive holiday carols, according to the band. “If they weren’t genuinely excited, they certainly faked it really well!” the guys joked. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of music to bring joy and unity, even in the toughest of times.
