Hold onto your hats, folks! Daytime television star Ashley Jones is set to light up the screen in a brand-new thriller called You Killed My Mother. This movie premieres Friday, December 8, at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime Movies. If you're a soap opera fan, you might recognize Ashley as Parker from General Hospital or Bridget from The Bold and the Beautiful. This time around, she's playing Miriam Preston, a hospital director whose life-changing decision to deny a liver transplant could have deadly consequences.
Life-Altering Choices: Ashley Jones Talks About Her Character's Tough Decisions
Ashley sat down with Soaps In Depth to break down her character's actions. "We're constantly making choices, and those choices can take us in entirely different directions," she explained. "There are countless people out there who need liver transplants. Hospitals follow strict protocols when deciding who gets one. For an older woman with a history of substance abuse and chronic alcoholism, she's not exactly at the top of the list. As the medical chief of staff, Miriam follows the rules and denies the transplant. That decision ends up altering the course of her life forever." It's a heavy role, but one that Ashley handles with grace and depth.

A Calculated Revenge Plot: What Happens Next?
When Miriam denies the transplant, it leads to the death of Jo's mother. Now, Jo is out for blood—or, well, revenge. Her plan involves targeting Miriam's son, Bobby, in a way that will hit Miriam where it hurts. "Jo's revenge is clever and methodical," Ashley teased. "She doesn't leave anything to chance." But don't worry—Miriam isn't going down without a fight. Ashley promises that her character is just as sharp as her nemesis. "This isn't one of those thrillers where you're yelling at the screen, 'Turn around!'" she joked. "Miriam is doing everything you'd expect her to do. She's resourceful, she's smart, and she's fighting for her life." With the police out of the picture, Miriam is left to fend for herself in a world full of danger.
Ashley Jones on the Film's Twists and Turns
Ashley was tight-lipped about the film's surprises but couldn't resist dropping a few hints. "I hope everyone tunes in," she said with excitement. "This character is a little different from what fans are used to seeing from me. There's a bit of Parker and a bit of Bridget in Miriam, so I think fans will recognize some familiar traits."
