Love isn’t a walk in the park, but for one of Hollywood’s most celebrated couples, it’s all about making it work. In a candid chat with Closer Weekly, John Travolta opened up about how he and his wife, Kelly Preston, keep their marriage strong after 25 years. At 63, John shared that it’s all about mutual care and keeping things current. “We care deeply for each other, protect each other, and keep our relationship fresh and up-to-date,” John told Closer.

Secrets to a Thriving Marriage
Kelly, 55, echoed her husband’s sentiments. “It’s all about staying connected, growing together, and embracing change,” she told Closer. “Make time for each other and keep creating those special moments as a duo.” The couple, who tied the knot in September 1991, shared that some relationships falter because partners fail to explore each other’s evolving needs. John emphasized, “Take the time to check in with each other. Ask what interests them lately or what makes them happy now. That keeps the spark alive.” They are proud parents to a daughter, Ella, 17, and a son, Benjamin, 6. Tragically, they also lost their son Jett in 2009.

Strength Through Loss
An insider revealed how the family has navigated the heartbreak of losing Jett, who passed away unexpectedly during a family vacation. “They’ve stayed strong for each other and especially for their youngest son, Ben,” a source told Closer. “They make it a point to include him in everything they do. Their bond as a family is unshakable.” Interestingly, Kelly also joked about John being a bit of a softie when it comes to their kids. “Daddy says yes to everything. He’s that kind of dad,” she shared with People. “They come to me first for permission. For instance, Ben once asked if he could have ice cream at midnight. I said no, of course, but Dad was like, ‘Sure! Do you want hot fudge with that?’” How adorable is that?
