Let's talk about Hollywood royalty, shall we? Jennifer Garner, a name that resonates with millions across the globe, recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight to share some fascinating insights about her life and career. Now, you might think that someone as famous as Jen wouldn’t get starstruck, but guess what? She does! In fact, she revealed that she gets all jittery around certain iconic figures, like Ina Garten, the queen of the kitchen and host of Barefoot Contessa. Who knew, right? Let's dive deeper into what she had to say in the video below.
During her candid conversation with ET, Jennifer also opened up about her latest role in the film The Tribes of Palos Verdes. In this movie, she plays Sandy Mason, a character who discovers her husband's infidelity. Now, this isn’t your typical Jennifer Garner role. As she explained, Sandy is a far cry from the polished, composed characters she’s known for. Instead, Sandy is someone unraveling at the seams, and that's exactly what intrigued Jennifer about the part.
“This character was such a departure from anything I’ve ever played,” Jennifer said. “I’m usually cast as someone who’s put-together, but Sandy is the opposite. She’s falling apart, and that made it both exhilarating and terrifying. It was a challenge, but it was also a chance to explore something new. You know, life goes on, and I had to go home to my kids and a bustling house, so I didn’t have much of a choice but to shake it off,” she joked.

Now, let's talk about Jennifer's personal life. As a mother of three—Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5, with her estranged husband, Ben Affleck—she shared how moving to Los Angeles impacted her. Like her character Sandy, Jennifer had her own struggles with transitioning. "When I first moved to LA from New York, it was tough. I remember thinking, 'What have I done?' It wasn’t easy, but I had to make a conscious decision to be happy," she recalled.
“I discovered what I love about LA and embraced it fully. For me, it was hiking, visiting farmers markets, cooking, and yoga. These activities became my lifeline, and eventually, the work followed. It wasn’t an overnight transformation, but it was rewarding,” Jennifer shared, offering a glimpse into how she found her footing in the City of Angels.
