Listen up, folks. It's not every day you hear about a celebrity getting into a traffic mishap, but here we are. Dr. Phil McGraw, the renowned TV personality and life coach, is facing some serious heat after an incident involving a skateboarder. On Friday, October 20, reports surfaced that Dr. Phil's car collided with a skateboarder in Universal City, which is part of the Greater Los Angeles area. Now, the skateboarder is not only injured but also planning to take legal action. E! News has confirmed that what seemed like a minor traffic collision has turned into a potential legal battle.
The incident reportedly happened at a crosswalk, and the skateboarder, who happens to be a bodybuilder, claimed to have experienced pain in his leg and shoulder. Since the accident, he's been vocal on social media platforms, airing his grievances. The bodybuilder, identified as Terrence Bembury, took to Instagram to express his frustrations. "Dr. Phil just hit me with his car this morning," Terrence wrote. "I filed a police report... And injury.. Waiting for the due process.. [sic]," he continued. Terrence added sarcastically, "Thank Dr. Phil.. It felt amazing getting hit by your Mercedes.. Now I’m going on two days of missing work.. SmH. I meet with my Lawyer Monday.. This is a 100% winnable case since Dr PHIL ran a stop sign and was in the wrong lane of traffic." Clearly, emotions are running high on both sides.

Dr. Phil's representatives have stated that he is fully prepared to cooperate with the LAPD to ensure the matter is handled appropriately. They emphasized that Dr. Phil did check on Terrence immediately after the incident to ensure he was okay. However, Terrence's account differs significantly from Dr. Phil’s side of the story. Terrence recounted on Instagram, "Dr. Phil ran a stop sign and was in the wrong exiting lane while I was crossing in the crosswalk, then shook my hand and took off. He never got out of the car, checked to see if I was injured, didn’t even ask for my name.”
Terrence's Account of the Incident
Terrence continued to elaborate on his version of events in a subsequent Instagram post. "The cops told me he needed to stay until they arrived and that he should have called himself," Terrence explained. "The fact that a shuttle driver stopped for me and he passed the driver and I even shouted and stuck my [hand] out, him being oblivious to all this means he was either on his phone or just straight hit me knowing my obvious presence and didn’t care," Terrence alleged. He concluded by emphasizing that Dr. Phil had broken traffic laws, which ultimately led to the collision.
