Even at the tender age of four, Prince George has quickly become the most relatable member of the royal family. Now, I know what you're thinking—royalty and relatability don't exactly go hand in hand. But hear me out. The latest evidence? Just a few weeks into his first year at the prestigious Thomas’s Battersea prep school, little George is already showing signs of being over the whole full-time education thing. Can you blame him? Even the promise of super fancy school lunches hasn't convinced him otherwise, according to his dad, Prince William.
During a recent royal engagement, William, who's been doing his fair share of school drop-offs, shared a candid moment with another parent. He admitted, “I just dropped George off and he didn’t want to go.” I mean, who can't relate to that? It's like George is speaking for all of us when he gives that classic "eye roll" we've all perfected at some point in our lives.
Now, Louise Smith, a 31-year-old mom, had the exciting experience of meeting William. She shared with reporters, “It was really exciting meeting William. He told me he’d just dropped Prince George off at school and he didn’t want to go. Sounds a bit like [my kids] really.” And just like that, the royal family feels a little more like one of us. Even her daughters, three-year-old Sophia and one-year-old Holly, got a friendly wave from the prince himself.

Prince William's First-Day Jitters
It seems Prince William was prepared for this little phase. On George's very first day of school, William confessed that he was actually more nervous than his son was about this big milestone. But he also had a hunch that things might change sooner rather than later. “We are all seeing how long that lasts before he doesn’t want to go,” he joked at the time.

Why Thomas’s Battersea?
William and his wife, Kate Middleton, who hasn't joined William on school pick-ups yet due to her battle with hyperemesis gravidarum during her third pregnancy, reportedly chose Thomas’s Battersea for George for its cozy "village feel." The school’s proximity to Kensington Palace, where the family plans to permanently reside from September, was also a big factor. At this co-educational day school, students are encouraged not to latch onto just one best friend. Instead, they're urged to be kind to everyone, making kindness the most important rule. Notable former students include Cara Delevingne and Florence Welch. Interestingly, George isn't the only royal in his reception class; he's joined by Maud Windsor, the daughter of Lord Frederick and Lady Sophie Windsor.
