Big Changes as Grey's Anatomy Season 14 Comes to an End
Hey there, Grey's Anatomy fans! While we might not see a "giant explosion" in this season's finale, star Camilla Luddington revealed that there's still plenty of drama on the horizon. As Season 14 wraps up, we're saying goodbye to two beloved characters—April Kepner and Arizona Robbins, played by Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw, respectively. But don't worry, these ladies have one last hurrah before they leave: Alex Karev and Jo Wilson's long-awaited wedding!
This wedding has been two years in the making, folks. It's been a journey for these characters, and their union is something fans have been eagerly anticipating. But as with anything on Grey's Anatomy, things are rarely straightforward. So, buckle up because this finale is packed with twists, turns, and plenty of emotional landmines.
Camilla Luddington Talks About Filming the Jolex Wedding
Camilla Luddington, who plays Dr. Jo Wilson, shared her thoughts on filming the big day with Entertainment Weekly. She admitted it was "really bizarre" to finally see the wedding come to life after all these years. "To see Justin (Champlin, who plays Alex Karev) in his suit and to even put on this wedding dress was like, 'Wow! We made it!'" she said. The cast and crew were genuinely excited to film these scenes, but as you can imagine, it wasn't without its challenges.

"I can't believe that we've actually made it," Camilla added. "Just because they've been through so much. We were excited to finally shoot those scenes. Then, it just so happens that… there's a lot of twists and turns to it. It's a really fun storyline for them. We laughed a lot shooting it." So, while the wedding is a joyous occasion, it seems there's more to the story than meets the eye.

What Can We Expect in the Finale?
One of the twists we've already seen in a sneak peek of the finale is that Jo and Alex get trapped in a toolshed at their wedding location. Now, that's not exactly how you'd expect a wedding to go, right? But as Camilla hinted, that might not even be the biggest crisis we see. When Entertainment Weekly asked if the episode would be one of the show's most climactic finales, Camilla had this to say:
"That's difficult because I feel like, to me, on a personal level, it felt like one of the hardest ones to film. We did lose two actresses that we had to say goodbye to. But there's no giant explosion. In that way, it's not one of those finales. I would say that there [are] lots of beautiful moments. I hope that the audience does enjoy it." So, while there may not be an explosion, there's still plenty of drama and emotion to keep us on the edge of our seats.
