Imagine this: a bunch of adorable kids showing off their dance moves on national TV. Doesn’t that sound like the cutest thing ever? Well, during a recent chat with Closer Weekly, professional dancer Keo Motsepe shared his thoughts on the potential spin-off, Dancing With the Stars Junior. “I think it’s a fantastic idea. It’s all about nurturing the next generation and getting them excited about the world of dance. We’re focusing on this season now, but who knows what the future holds?” Keo said during a phone call last week.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. First, we’ve got the upcoming 12-week all-athletes Season 26, which is set to premiere on Monday, April 30, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. Keo is beyond thrilled about this season. “Having all athletes on the show is going to be incredible. The pressure is on for all of us pros because there are no actors or celebrities this time around,” Keo revealed.

Why This Season Is Going to Be Epic

So, what makes this season different? Well, the competition is going to be off the charts. “In a regular season, you have 12 weeks to help your partner grow and improve. But with this lineup, I think the athletes are going to look like they’re ready for the finale from the very first week. That’s how good they are,” Keo explained. This time around, Keo is paired with professional softball player Jennie Finch Daigle, and trust me, this is going to be a match made in dance heaven.

Could Themed Shows Be in the Future?

Keo also mentioned the possibility of more themed seasons in the future. “If it’s just athletes, they all come from the same background, with the same work ethic and passion. But when you mix actors and athletes, you get two completely different mindsets. It’s like a beautiful clash of worlds,” Keo added. It sounds like the show is ready to take some bold steps in the future, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with.

Keo also praised his partner, Jennie, for her hard work and dedication. “She’s a machine. She’s in there for five hours straight, no breaks. It’s not like, ‘We’ll get to this tomorrow.’ No, it’s ‘Teach me now, let’s do it all now.’ And that’s what makes her so special. She’s learning so much, and it’s paying off. I’m so proud of her,” Keo said with admiration. We can’t wait to see Keo and Jennie take the stage and show everyone what they’ve got!
