Let’s be real for a second—what’s supposed to be one of the happiest moments in Meghan Markle's life is turning into a whirlwind of stress. Instead of focusing on the fun stuff like planning a bachelorette party or picking out flowers, she’s stuck worrying about how her family will behave at her royal wedding to Prince Harry on May 19. Can you blame her? It’s not every day that someone joins the royal family, and with great privilege comes great responsibility—or in this case, great etiquette rules.
According to an insider, Meghan is losing sleep over the whole situation. "She can’t sleep at night because she’s so stressed out," they told Life & Style. "She’s worried about her family being on their best behavior and about screwing up when it comes to the rules of royal etiquette." That’s a lot to process, especially when you're about to marry into one of the most famous families in the world.
Will Meghan’s Family Show Up?
Now here’s the kicker—there’s still a lot of uncertainty about who from Meghan’s side will actually make it to the big day. Her half-sister, Samantha Grant, has been pretty vocal about her feelings regarding the wedding. Samantha has jokingly suggested that she and other members of the family might not be invited, and she doesn’t seem too concerned about it. “I can’t imagine how anyone would anticipate a normal, traditional, royal wedding. I mean, they’d probably be watching across the lawn for the Markles to approach—‘Oh, good God, they’re coming! Close the curtains! Hide!’” Samantha quipped. She went on to say, “It’s just so silly. We’re so normal. And yes, I would love to go, but we have no idea what’s going to happen.” No wonder Meghan is feeling the pressure!

Thomas Markle: A Key Player
One thing that seems certain is that Meghan’s dad, Thomas Markle, will be there to walk her down the aisle. This will mark his first trip to the UK and, believe it or not, his first meeting with Prince Harry. “Thomas Sr. is overjoyed to be beside his little girl on the day she becomes a princess—even if he has to battle his demons to get there,” a source revealed to The Sun. Despite his nerves about being in the spotlight, nothing will stop him from being there for his daughter. “He’s not exactly thrilled at facing the world’s glare. But nothing will stop him from having Meghan on his arm for the big day.” Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, is also expected to attend, offering a bit of calm amidst the chaos.

Support from the Markle Clan
But it’s not all doom and gloom. If the rest of her family takes after Meghan’s nephew, Tyler Dooley, and her ex-sister-in-law, Tracy Dooley, she’ll be just fine. The two have admitted they likely won’t be invited to the wedding next month—but they’re completely okay with it. “Chances are, I don’t think that we are going to get the invitations and that’s just fine. We’re OK with that. But we’re supporting her and just having a good time, so proud of her,” Tracy shared. Tyler added, “We’ve been here from the very beginning. I mean, her whole life, just always rooting her on and supporting her.” That kind of support is what Meghan needs right now, and it’s heartwarming to see her loved ones rally around her.
With just a few short weeks to go, the world is eagerly waiting to see how everything unfolds. It’s going to be a historic day, and no matter what happens, Meghan will have the love and support of those who matter most.
