According to an insider speaking to the Daily Mail, the numbers for the evening bash are strictly limited. And let’s face it, Sarah isn’t exactly a current member of the royal family anymore. The source went on to say that Prince Charles just doesn’t have the time for her and can't understand why she's still such a significant part of his brother’s life. That’s some pretty heavy shade right there!
Prince Harry's Intervention
Prince Harry reportedly stepped in to make sure his aunt was included on the guest list. This comes after years of her being kept at arm's length by the royal family. Harry’s close bond with Sarah's daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, played a part in this decision. In fact, Sarah has already met Meghan, too. Interestingly, she was notably absent from the guest list for Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton back in 2011.
Sarah still resides with Prince Andrew at Royal Lodge in Windsor, and despite their divorce over two decades ago, they maintain a close friendship. In recent years, relations have warmed enough for her to appear in the royal box at Ascot and even join the family on holiday at Balmoral.
