As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, the iconic actress who brought the superhero to life on television, opens up in a heartfelt, exclusive interview with Closer Weekly. She shares how the character of Wonder Woman has inspired countless fans across the globe, including herself.

In her candid conversation with Closer, Lynda reveals, “Wonder Woman taught women to embrace who they truly are.” She continues, “I've received countless letters from people expressing how much of an inspiration she was to them because she embodies the inner strength that every woman possesses.” It's clear that Wonder Woman's message of empowerment continues to resonate with fans worldwide.

Even before becoming Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, a former Miss World, faced her own battles with self-doubt. In 1975, when the series almost didn't make it on the air, she recalls the skepticism of TV executives who doubted a woman could carry a show like Wonder Woman. “It was bizarre,” Lynda reflects. “Women were the primary consumers of these products, yet men were the ones dominating the screen. It didn’t make sense.”
